The Re- collection is a retrospective study of Kolchagov Barba creations, where the past returns to the present and becomes part of the future.
A re-imagined future, which sees new designs that blend optimism, strength and a refusal to be constrained by the past.
Re-visited and new are tied up together by ribbons and belts which recreate and reconnect the timeless essence embroidered into every Kolchagov Barba creation.
Romantic and feminine lines are fused with fine and elegant bondage elements. Corset gowns are mixed with sensual short cocktail dresses all wrapped in bright colours to represent the strength embedded in every woman.
Demure yet sophisticated, innocent yet strong Kolchagov Barba is presenting a collection of statements, created to adorn and empower women.
And we submit the re- collection as a tribute to everyone we remember with HIV; past, present, future. Those fighting against HIV and the stigma that too often goes with it.
Through our re- collection we seek to offer a link to a better future where rejection and fear are in the past. To a future where there is a cure, and where there is no stigma.
